What if you imagined the world not how it is now, but how it could be?
A world where people based their life’s worth not on possessions, success, or wealth but instead on friendships, community, and how they treat others?
We sometimes imagine that our life is only worth what others say it is worth, how we are perceived by the world, but what if we could have a more cosmic perspective?
Could we see this world through the eyes of God?
What if our lives aren’t about what we do? Instead, they could be valued by the lessons we teach others and the love we show in the midst of pain and suffering. Could that be how we live on in this life everlasting?
How would you have to change your life right now to make that happen?
God of the Universe, speak to us. Change our hearts. Let us feel your spirit move, with an uncontrollable, unshakeable need to build a brighter present. May we be awakened and be transformed. Let us learn that if we have love within us, now is the time to use it. We know there is a brighter day, there’s a higher name, right around the corner. We not only imagine it, but we yearn for it. Salvation is not just the promise of heaven but a move towards true wholeness and rebirth, into something new. We aren’t just talking about your kin-dom as this foreign, existential place up in the sky, in the heavens, but as a tangeable reality on this planet. Our community can create heaven here on earth.
